This Privacy Policy describes how Velmoras ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website velmoras.in, create an account, place an order, or interact with our customer support. By using our website you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically:

• Account information: your full name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as an irreversible hash — we never see your plaintext password).
• Shipping and billing information: address, city, state, PIN code, and country you provide at checkout.
• Order information: the products you buy, quantities, prices, order history, payment method, and payment status.
• Payment information: we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our servers. Payments are processed directly by our payment processor Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS certified. We only receive a payment confirmation reference.
• Return and support information: when you request a return or exchange, we collect your reason, the item(s) affected, and any photos you upload of the issue.
• Reviews and feedback: ratings, review text, and optional photos you submit for products you purchased.
• Google sign-in information: if you choose to sign in with your Google account, we receive your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a unique Google user ID. We never receive your Google password.
• Automatic information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected via server logs and standard cookies.
• Communications: emails, WhatsApp messages, or chat messages you send to our support team.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account, verify your identity, and let you sign in.
• Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders.
• Process payments through Razorpay and other authorised payment partners.
• Send you order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications, and receipts.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and refund requests.
• Respond to your customer support enquiries.
• Display your reviews (with your first name only) on product pages.
• Send marketing emails (only if you opt in to our newsletter — you can unsubscribe at any time).
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

• Improve our website, products, and services through aggregated analytics.

3. Google sign-in

If you use "Continue with Google" to create your Velmoras account or sign in, we receive limited profile information (your name, email, profile picture, and a Google user ID). We use this information solely to identify you and create or match your Velmoras account. We do not access any other Google service data (Drive, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar).

You can revoke this connection at any time from your Google account's Connected Apps settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your shopping cart. We may use analytics cookies (Google Analytics or similar) to understand how visitors use our website in aggregate. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (checkout, account) will not work without them.

5. Sharing your information

We share your information only with:

• Razorpay — to process your payment (Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to the data they collect at checkout).
• Delivery partners — your name, address, phone number, and order details are shared with the courier service that ships your order.
• Email / SMS providers — to send you order confirmations, shipping updates, and OTPs.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — our website and database run on servers provided by Hostinger.
• Government authorities — where required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Order records are kept for at least 8 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws (Income Tax Act, GST). Return and support tickets are retained for 3 years for warranty and dispute resolution.

7. Data security

We take reasonable security measures to protect your information:

• All traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS).
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plaintext.
• Access to production servers and databases is limited to authorised staff.
• Payment details are handled by PCI-DSS certified payment processors and never touch our servers.

No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Your rights

Under Indian data protection law (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements for order and tax records).

9. Children's privacy

Velmoras is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
